The other day I was doing some file accessing on my hard-disk when the very scary read/write error requestor started popping up with alarming frequency. After chewing my fingernails off, I tried something more useful which was to turn off my computer and carefully reseat all the connections between my Amiga and my drive (externally mounted). This solved my problem.
