Amax I had a file transfer disk format which was supposed to be able to transfer (some) files to AmigaDos from Amax mac side via special "file transfer format" disks. This never worked in my copy, despite repeated tries, calls to Readysoft (the techs there were also mystified), and so forth. Amax II has a new file transfer utility which, from the "mac" (amax) side can read/write AmigaDos (old file structure) diskettes. I haven't yet tried this direction; it works amiga disks to amax. Assuming it works, a path from Amax to real Mac (assuming the real mac has a superdrive and can read msdos disks via apple file transfer) might be: 1. Stuffit files to transfer under Amax. 2. Transfer these to AmigaDos disks with file transfer. 3. Copy to MSDOS disks using Messydos, crossdos, or whatever in AmigaDos. (Must go to 3.5" floppies.) 4. Read onto real mac with Apple File Transfer utility (comes with mac OS). 5. UnStuffit on real Mac. Voila! Files now transferred. Obviously one doesn't take such a circuitous path very frequently! ;-) Glenn Everhart Everhart@Arisia.dnet.ge.com
