[comp.sys.amiga] Help! 'Y' key dead!

al158305@mtecv2.mty.itesm.mx (Gustavo Cordova Avila) (10/12/90)

Lets see if somebody can help me. Last night, my keyboard decided
that I wouldn't need to use my 'Y' key any more, so I opened it up. I didn't
see anything that was dangling or loose, so I decided that it's the key
switch that's dead.

The questions are: does anybody know how I can fix it? Or, does anybody
have an A1000 keyboard that you don't use/need and would be willing to
sell, or does anybody know where to buy/how to make an adaptor or interface
to connect an A2000 or IBM-connector type keyboard to my ami?

Hmmm... maybe I'd even like to hack up another type of keyboard so that
it'll give the adecuate signals, of course, the only thing I'd do was remove
the keys from the keyboards pcb, rewire a 3rd party keyboard and connect it
where the other one was connected.. Any hints?

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Gustavo.
