[comp.sys.amiga] problems with MS-WINDOWS 3.0 on AT bridgeboard

Hello,

did somebody successfully install MS-WINDOWS 3.0 on his or her AMIGA with an
AT bridgeboard?

I tried to do it last night; the installation worked fine, but the following
major problems occur:

   - Whenever I start WINDOWS in the standard mode (I assume the 80286 runs in
     protected mode in that case), the startup screen comes
     up, but after some time, the DOS prompt appears with the system still in
     graphics mode (i.e. you can't start WINDOWS in standard mode);

   - I can use WINDOWS in real mode; but whenever I leave it, the system locks
     up;

There is no special stuff involved. I use the memory management drivers
HIMEM.SYS and SMARTDRV.SYS (as they were installed by the SETUP-program; I
think you need them when going for standard mode) and as a mouse driver
AMOUSE.DRV from the JANUS 2.0 distribution is used.

Maybe one more remark: the system is an 2000A, but I hope this doesn't affect
the problem?!

                      Thanks,

                                Thomas Tensi

One user on one of the local BBSes had posted that he did get windows to work,
but he had to remove the Amouse driver and use a logitech mouse on the PC
side.
