How about letting the cat outta da bag......... Why Wait for Vapourware??? MultiMedia NOW.....but only on AMIGA or a short spot on TV of the assembly of a presentation aka the old Mac DTP ads........ open: fast flash;quick pan;settle; subject(s):cluster around two creative types at large monitor "script" Yah so then after they got the concept together they started the video shoot and contracted for So & So to write the score .... then we backed up into the graphics and 3d stuff from the first stills....all in house yet....gee whatta a coup.....then we banged it together in rough on the baby here using everybody's prelims so the old man could see it....went for it too....low whistle.....so then we went back and finished it.......nice job.....we did that.... Zoom: in / out ; focus logos .... hit the screen .... different angles of group .... face to face .... reflections on glasses.... "Gentlemen" "oops the old man" .... break to side to follow smartly dressed woman exec as she herds them together to the meeting calling off a checklist........... Fade to black White Letters.... Amiga The MultiMedia Platform of Today Check it out...."sounding something like the shell .... the move is on." Gee we could even do one of them assembling the final touches in AmigaVision and playing it....you know like the old rushing the edited copy to the broadcast booth.... just some thoughts....feel free....I'm tired of the whining and I'm not finished with 1.3...... 83).

While the PC world put up with boring beeps and squawks from their 'sound' capabilities, the Amiga came out with hi-fidelity stereo . While the PC world was learning the newest "slash" commands in their favorite Spreadsheet program, and Bill Gates was disclaming any advantages in being able to do more than one thing at a time, the Amiga came out with true multi-tasking. While the PC world struggled to break the 640k barrier, the Amiga came out with true 32-bit capable addressing space. While the PC continues to struggle with these very same problems, the Amiga has branched into the future. While the computing world awaits the multimedia future to arrive, why don't you go and take a look at the future -- at your local Amiga dealer." "Amiga...We've had it all along" Well, just another silly idea to throw into the pot. David Navas navas@sim.berkeley.edu "Excuse my ignorance, but I've been run over by my train of thought." -me

Well, what about this? The opening scene of the IBM multimedia commercial (the one with the guy in a chair watching slides and about to fall asleep). The camera is slowly pulling back to reveal the image in a window on os2.0, and as it pulls back to reveal more of the screen, there is a calculator being used (or something), and eventually the camera reveals the entire Amiga at about the time the IBM commercial is finished. The above is brilliant. Perhaps it could use a bit of cleaning up, but one of the folks at CBM that reads this group should send this copy to the Marketing department. It is head and shoulders above the ads we've seem so far, and says exactly what needs to be said. Well said, David. In-Reply-To: message from moynihan_r@apollo.HP.COM This reminds me of an ad I put together for our local paper...it started something like this: "So, the other computer makers discovered the wonders of multimedia? What took you guys so long?" The ad showed an A3000 w/A1950 moniter, and a caption that read, "The Amiga 3000. Right from the box, it's the most capable multimedia platform you can buy." The rest of the ad told of how Amiga users have been enjoying multimedia since the intro of the Amiga in 1985 (which I might add was a multimedia event itself). Then the ad was summed up with, "So while the other guys are promising what multimedia will do for your future, come see what an Amiga will do for you TODAY."
