[comp.sys.amiga] Jr.Comm 1.01's Zmodem Send Problem.

maxc0849@ucselx.sdsu.edu (InnerTangent) (10/14/90)

Has anyone tried out the Jr.comm version 1.01's Zmodem send yet?

It seems to have a problem sending vie Zmodem protocol. I think it
is a mistake since the version 1.00's Zmodem send works fine.

Could anyone tell me what happened?

I have been using JR-Comm 1.01 for a couple of weeks now and have not
noticed any problems with Zmodem upload or download. Maybe check out your
Zmodem parameters. What exactly is the problem? Does it die too soon? What
machine are you sending to? Let us have more information.

I have been transfering file back and foward between my Amiga and my
school UNIX account. For some reason, the school RZ doesn't work with any
terminal programs' Zmodem transfer correctly, that is, until I tested it with
Jr.Comm 1.00 (version 1.0). Everything (Well, just the Zmodem part) went fine,
until Jr.comm 1.01 comes along with alot of improvements, but, to my disappoint-
ment, Zmodem send of this version doesn't work with the school computer
anymore.
My unix account runs on a 4.3BSD, and the version of my rz is:
   Version 1.29, 02-21-88 for V7BSD, by Chuck Forsberg ---
(Could it be the different version of UNIX BSD that cause this?)
Anyway, if somebody out there who has a RZ for 4.3BSD, suggestions,
or share the similar experience, please mail me or reply. Thank you.
