I connect to a MicroVAX II by Telnetting through a PACX. I was having problems running Handshake V2.12a. In particular, it would default to VT220 8 bit controls. This messed up when running a full screen editor such as EVE (EDIT/TPU). My current kludge to get it to work: Set Terminal Type to VT220 7 bit controls at the DCL prompt on the VAX type $ SET TERMINAL /noeight_bit /nodec_crt2 /noedit_mode /nosoft_characters /nodec_crt3 /dec_crt some of these may not be essential. F7-F10 do not map to F17-F20 as stated in the documentation. F11 does map to ESC so you can no longer use it normally. You can use CTRL-[ (^[) instead. This is Handshake FTPed from abcdfd20. I would be interested in knowing if other people have had the same problems and have found better work-arounds. \||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||/ = Richard J.
