[comp.sys.amiga] Forgeries

ianr@mullian.ee.mu.OZ.AU (Ian ROWLANDS) (10/14/90)

Somebody thought the amiga group split needed some help, so they've
newgrouped all the groups they want. If you are reading this (i.e the stupid
idiot who did the newgroup), would you PLEASE remove these groups. You are
doing this discussion a great deal of harm. When these new group eventually
get legally formed, people will think they are jokes as well and remove
the legitimate ones. Look what happened to comp.sys.amiga.games and the
problems it had.

I suggest everybody should e-mail the person who issued that control
message and tell them exactly what you think of them (well, at least tell them
what I think of them).

More than that, we need actually to get a vote past the whole USENet community,
not just the Amiga groups. Get enough of them mad, and people who could
care less about how these groups are divided up will vote against any proposal
just out of spite.

Please _don't_! The person listed as the author of the control articles was
not the responsible party, and is thoroughly sick of email flames already
(go read news.admin for details).
