Greetings, I finally have some time to post this summary of replies I got concerning a good printer to use with BOTH the amiga a3000 and the amiga runnning under AMAX II. Everyone who replied seems to agree that the HP Deskjet is a great printer for the price (Deskjet 500 retails as low as $479). However, there is no general concensus on the best way to get the DJ to work with AMAX. Various suggestions for software drivers include: MacPrint by HP $149 JetLInk and FX-80 emulation cartridge (??) I haven't heard from anyone that actually uses the DJ under amax so I can't say for certain what works well or whether it will work at all. Finally, someone mentioned that the DJ is very slow printing graphics. If anyone has anything further to add I like to here it.
