Our group is working on bringing up device-independent "troff" in
conjunction with our Autologic APS-5 phototypesetter. After overcoming
some initial bugs in the system, we are now getting some encouraging
results. However, we find that we are rather limited in choice of
fonts that we can select (our "ditroff" package only includes font
files for selecting 8 fonts -- Times Roman, Italics, Bold, Helvetica
Regular, Constant Width, Greek and two special fonts). In order
to select a font like Geneva II, we would need to make a minor
change to the description file and create the corresponding font
file from scratch. While this doesn't appear difficult, it is somewhat
time consuming, given the number of new font files we would need to
create and test.
So as not to "reinvent the wheel", would someone in netland be so
kind as to tell me if the required APS-5 font files already exist?
