[comp.sys.amiga] DMouse 1.22

gilgalad@caen.engin.umich.edu (Ralph Seguin) (10/15/90)

I just FTPed dmouse 1.22 (since I lost my old copy somehow?). It seems
that it doesn't do screen blanking correctly. It blanks the screen, but
then the mouse becomes unblanked. This is rather strange behavior.
It also exhibits the everpresent bug in Intuition/WB combo (about windows
not refreshing correctly when you click on them). What is interesting
about this is that version 1.07 didn't exhibit this problem. Anybody
got any comments?
On an unrelated topic: I realize that the c.s.a.unix group is bogus
(since we didn't vote on it), but I do believe that we should have a
group for discussing this topic, but it should be called comp.unix.amiga.
(I think that somebody pointed this out already). I also believe that
we should fork (new Amiga system call? 8-) off comp.os.amiga, and
do a ton of crossposting to comp.os.realtime (just to show them what a great
OS the Amiga has 8-)

			Thanks, Ralph

Good idea. And while we're at it, lets propose comp.ibm.pc.amiga for
bridgeboard stuff and comp.macintosh.amiga for AMAX, and comp.atari.st.amiga
for ST dtuff, and then there's the C64 emulator, and the AppleII discusiion,
and ....

Yeah, I found the same problem. An even newer version of dmouse
(v1.24) is now available, but since its documentation makes no
mention of the v1.22 pointer unblanking bug, I can only assume it too
suffers from the same bug. Sure hope the author is listening....
