[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga Action Replay : a tool for A-3000 gamers?

djh@neuromancer.metaphor.com (Dallas J. Hodgson) (10/24/90)

I thought I'd pass this along to folks who'd given up running most games
on the A-3000. I received Coast To Coast Technologies' Amiga Action Replay
yesterday, a very interesting (but not rock-solid) product. A big part of
my reason for purchase was the hope that I could run games that normally
fail to boot on my A-3000 by loading working A-1000 created memory images
of the same games.

Well, for one game this worked: Bubble Bobble. The game runs just fine on
my A-3000 although a good bit faster. I went one step further and used the
cartridge to correct the game's use of the COLOR bit in BPLCON0 so it now
works correctly on the A-1000's composite video out!

Too bad this didn't work for Datastorm, Beast I or Killing Game Show. But
still interesting!
