Subject: Fire at Cathedral Hill
Today there was a big fire at the Cathedral Hill hotel (formerly
the Jack Tar); one woman was killed, and 40-50 people were injured.
CompCon '84 Spring is scheduled for that Hotel in late February.
To help the Program Committee SRA has volunteered to accept calls
directed to the CompCon Phone Number (the calls will be forwarded
automatically to 957-1522). If you take such a call the caller will
want to know what's happening with CompCon; here is the information
to give out:
(1) The CompCon 84 conference WILL go on!
(2) The program committee is looking for a new hotel right now.
(3) Be patient. There's no other information at this time, but
please be assured that you will be informed needed as soon
more is known.
