I am considering purchasing an Amiga computer sometime in the near future (I currently own a C128). I recently started scanning through the messages in this newsgroup, but I still have over 500 more to read and little time to do so. Therefore I wanted to know if someone can answer these questions (sorry if an answer has already been posted). There seems to be a lot of confusion over how Commodore will handle its Amiga line (as is usual with Commodore and its customers). If anyone has some SOLID information about support for 2.0 AND the new graphics chips (ECS), including the 1 Meg Agnus, being available for the A500 please post a message to clear at least my confusion. Also, anyone who owns the new A3000, can you provide some hands on information about the computer. Is the educational discount still $2600 (16 MHz) and $???? (25 MHz)? Finally which computer do you suggest I purchase. I don't have a lot of money, however, I need a computer for doing graphics and animation. I feel the A3000 would be better suited for this purpose, but can I get acceptable performance out of the A500? Personally I am a big supporter of Commodore (I have been so since using the VIC 20). Recently they have finally attempted to turn there American market around and actually start supporting the computers they sell. Unfortunately, they still cannot provide accurate information about their product line to users.
