The subject says it all. Are there ANY public domain programs out there that will take a 24 BIT RGB file (like the output of DKBTrace, Turbo Silver, etc) and convert them to 64-color Extra Halfbrite IFF? I have looked through hundreds of PD listings from Fred Fish, through USENET postings, through the listings on BIX, all to no avail. I would write something myself, but good color coding schemes are something I know nothing about. ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUES? I KNOW something like this MUST exist... Thanks! -- dean@coplex.UUCP Dean A. A round about way would be to read the RGB file into Digiview, and have it convert it into half-brite mode. But Digiview isn't PD. -- John Sparks |D.I.S.K. But Digiview isn't PD. ...which is why I've asked on a couple other newsgroups before about the file specs for the 24 bit RGB format. I would also like the filespecs for Dynamic Hires. If I can get ahold of these, I could probably write a conversion program for at least 24-bit to DynaHires and maybe a few others. This PD utility _needs_ to exists, since Digi View is proprietary, and you have to buy their digitizing hardware with it. (I have no need for a digitizer!) >-- >John Sparks |D.I.S.K.
