I have now attempted file transfer using A-Max II on my A1000 (68010; 3.5mb; Amidos 1.3.2) using the new file transfer program. It appears that the file transfer works fine in the Amiga to AMax direction, though a copy of ResEdit on the Mac side helps considerably. I've been transferring .SIT files (stuffit), and occasionally having to change the type and creator to "SIT!" as is appropriate. Going from AMax back to Amiga is a bit chancier. I've been able to get it to work, but it appears as though (on very small statistics) the last file written gets sent in a corrupt form somehow. I suspect problems flushing buffers to the Amigados disk on exit or something similar. At any rate, disksalv seems able to get the files back even so, though it flags errors. I've tried this on multiple disks which were otherwise clean; the program uses the internal drive only, so I have not been able to test for drive dependencies. The disks used were formatted on the internal drive however. This is still flakier than I like, but far more useful than the old "file transfer" program which would not work at all.
