[comp.sys.amiga] Call for Discussion goes to n.a.n moderator.

xanthian@zorch.SF-Bay.ORG (Kent Paul Dolan) (11/02/90)

For those who care, a 34Kbyte proposal for partitioning comp.sys.amiga
just got sent to the moderator of news.announce.newgroups. If Eliot
follows his normal schedule, it will be posted about Sunday, and spread
across the net as usual. Discussion henceforth will take place in
news.groups, not comp.sys.amiga. The posting is titled:

CALL FOR DISCUSSION, Revision 3; comp.sys.amiga reorganization

or some such, and is crossposted to the Amiga groups, the last time
until the call for votes that a major posting on the reorganization will
show up here, though I may post reminders here when I post revisions to
news.groups.

Thanks again for all who contributed to the discussion!

Since the last posting here, the big changes are putting back into the
proposal the c.s.a.audio and c.s.a.graphics groups based on data from
Robin LaPasha about the Amiga Hypermedia mailing list, renaming
c.s.a.market to c.s.a.marketplace, and, most happy thesaurus treasure,
renaming c.s.a.influence, to c.s.a.advocacy, an absolutely unambiguous
name at last!

Your support and well wishes are welcome. The big effort is still ahead.
Also, I need more charter writing volunteers; my fingers are tired! ;-)

Beware, the followup on this article is to news.groups!
