Los Angeles -- November 2, 1990 Felsina Software and Oxxi Inc. are pleased to announce a minor update to the A-Talk III communications program: Release 1.3e. This version introduces support for "public" screens, both under the 1.3 and 2.0 Amiga operating systems. Under 1.3, public screens are supported through Willy Langeveld's freely redistributable "screenshare" and "rexxarplib" libraries. These libraries are freely available on public networks and on the Fred Fish disk collection. [Many thanks to Willy and Harv Laser for their help. The Plink "selector" macro, which uses public screens, will soon be available on Plink]. Under 2.0, Intuition 2.0 public screens are fully supported, together with cosmetic enhancements that make use of the new 2.0 windows' look. [Many thanks to Jim Mackraz for "pubsc" and Peter Cherna for Intuition support] A-Talk III checks the version of the OS it is running under, and will use the appropriate public screen method. [the latest versions of Willy's libraries work with 2.0, therefore providing support of macros like "selector" in an OS-independent way] As usual, the update will initially be available directly from Oxxi for registered A-Talk III users. Please contact Oxxi at (213)427-1227 for details. -- Marco Papa Felsina Software -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= "Xerox sues somebody for copying?" -- David Letterman -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
