We all know that those Cabbage Patch dolls were the rage this year, but what about other gifts? We noticed in our family of 8 (counting my brother-in-law) plus close friends that besides clothes, most of us got at least 1 book. I myself got 6 from my family and girlfriend together. My father mentioned that if you took a poll, books would come out right near the top of the list, while items like large appliances and tools are at the bottom for the average gift. Pinstripe jeans also seemed to be a big item this year, and I bet home computers were right up their. I wonder how home video games (Atari, Colecovision etc.) did? Tom O`Connor
