Are you aware of QUANTA, the user's group? I have a 128Kb QL, Trump card giving the full 896KB, 2x3.5" dual drives, running under JS QDOS and Taskmaster. I generally have half a dozen jobs running - e.g. two word-processors plus a background task which automatically performs periodic saves of the documents, a database, and various other odds and ends. You're right, QDOS is *miles* better than TOS. (I know, I ported the SME/2 real-time multi-tasking OS onto the Atari - TOS really is poor man's fare). Pity about the microdrives (blah!) and keyboard though, Sinclair really did loose the [flag]ship for a ha'p'orth of tar. --- Jonathan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sender : Jonathan M Spencer Mail : Computing Lab, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 7RU, UK Phone : +91 222 8229 ARPA : J.M.Spencer%newcastle.ac.uk@cs.ucl.ac.uk JANET : J.M.Spencer@uk.ac.newcastle UUCP : !ukc!newcastle.ac.uk!J.M.Spencer
