[comp.sys.amiga] PAL 24-bit board launched

db@cs.ed.ac.uk (Dave Berry) (11/05/90)

Amiga Centre Scotland is producing a 24-bit graphics board for PAL
systems. Cost will be "under 2000 pounds". It should be out by now.
This has been reported in UK Amiga magazines, but I thought other
people might be interested.

Their address is 4 Hart St. Lane, Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm not
associated with them in any way.

Incidentally, New Computer Express reported that Commodore announced
the A2420 24-bit graphics board last week. According to NCE, this
is based on a TI graphics chip.

In recent weeks NCE have also announced the launch of the A1500,
the death of the A2000 early next year, and a version of the A500
with the ECS to be available early next year. In other words,
they tend to print rumours as well as news.

The ACS PAL board has been reported in several more reliable places,
including a local IT newsletter that I picked up from the ACS front
desk.
