I have heard through the grapevine about a program that allows you to turn Sculpt object files into ASCII. Does anyone know where I can find this program? I know of TTDDD which does this very thing for Turbo Objects, but have not been able to find the equivalent for Sculpt. I want to be able to write routines in C to create objects for Sculpt (actually for Lightwave which accepts Sculpt format). My C routines would create ASCII files containing the points and polygons. Then these would need to be translated into Sculpt format. It would also be helpful when starting out to look at objects created directly in Sculpt in ASCII to see exactly how the format is set up. I do understand that you can write ASCII routines to give Sculpt commands to build objects, but making the objects completely in ASCII would be much more flexible. Another option would of course use TTDDD to write objects in ASCII for Turbo, then use Interchange to go to Sculpt format. This is less than desirable because it is a rather roundabout way of doing this, and Interchange is less than 100% successful in Turbo-Sculpt exchanges. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. ============================================================================== \ / \ \ / / Sean Schur \ \ / / \ \/ / USENET: schur@isi.edu \ /a\mpyr/ Compuserve: 70731,1102 \/ \ / ideo Plink: OSS259 \/ ==============================================================================
