I was trying to order a Perfect Sound for my A1000 from a local dealer, but he said his sources told him the model designed for the A1000 has been discontinued. He's been trying to reach the manufacturer but they haven't answered him. I'm trying some other dealers and mailorder places to see if they still have the A1000 type in stock. Does anyone know if the model designed for the A500 can be used? If so, what is required to do this? Would there be a voltage compatiblitity problem? thanks David Clemons Reply to: clem@sybase.com {pacbell, pyramid, sun,{uunet, ucbvax}!mtxinu}!sybase!clem

Simply dig up one of those, and voila! You have PerfectSound 3.01 on your A1000. > > thanks > David Clemons > Reply to: > clem@sybase.com {pacbell, pyramid, sun,{uunet, ucbvax}!mtxinu}!sybase!clem Joseph Hillenburg, Secretary, Bloomington Amiga Users Group (BAUG) joseph@valnet.UUCP ...!iuvax!valnet!joseph "Only Apple could slow down a 68000 chip." -Computer Shopper

I have a Perfect Sound 1000 on my 500 and you have to switch the reset and power lines on the gender changer. I don't have the pinouts with me, but they should be easy to find. -Vince
