[comp.sys.amiga] NewTek in PC Week

don@brahms.udel.edu (Donald R Lloyd) (11/16/90)

In the November 12th issue of PC Week, (the one with reports
from ComDex in it), after 250 pages in which, as usual, nothing remotely
related to the Amiga is printed despite listings of products seen at ComDEx,
new Unix systems, GUI's, and multimedia products, NewTek gets a brief mention
in the "And finally..." section of "Short Takes". After talking about
a solid chocolate hat from WYSE, the author says:

"Food also played a prominent role in the invitation from NewTek, Inc.
The box read "Come See the Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread." And,
you guessed it, inside was a piece of stale toast...."

Okay, so we have evidence that they know the Toaster exists.... why was
nothing about it mentioned (besides the stale toast)? For that matter,
the 3000UX, which also was seen there, went unmentioned.
