[comp.sys.amiga] Rejuvenator

al158305@mtecv2.mty.itesm.mx (Gustavo Cordova Avila) (09/14/90)

I've read about it too, including an intervue with the guy who
designed it (sorry, I can't remember his name at the moment). It's
said to word a-ok with practically all A1000 periphs, to the point
that the designer said that he had the option of adding the gary
chip (that the A500 has) to the board to control timing, but he didn't
because he wanted to maintain A1000 timing as precise as possible
for it to work ok with Lucas&Frances. He said that it also works
ok with the flicker fixer (when you install it in it's video slot).

Now for my question: does anybody know of an A1000 periph that
can accept memory AND hard drive? Something like the partnerJr that
appeared (and disapeared) some time ago; or does anybody have a setup
with 8 megs (or the capacity for them) and hard drive together?

And for the BIG question (that NOBODY has answered): Does anybody
have an A1000 with max memory (8 megs or more), hard drive, accelerator
AND rejuvenator? If somebody out there does, can you post your setup?
Please? Pretty please with suger on top?? :)

Well, enough rambling.... cu@the.mouse

Well, you did ask. Following describes an A1000 circa August 1985. The
"figlist", "cpu", "avail" and "info" programs are my own creations 'cause I
prefer their output formats; they're on many BBS systems. The "accelerator"
is the Ronin 020/881 with 4MB RAM, the other two 2MB RAM boxes are Comspec
AX2000 units, and the HD interface is a Supra 4x4. The Genlock is the A1300
(S/N either 025 or 075 (cannot read it well in the dark) from 1st production
run). The rejuvenator is from The Grapevine Group and is sitting on my desk
since I've been trying it in some other A1000 systems, but it DOES work in
this system (and the others in which I've tried it).
