This has been brought up before, but the file 'MED210.LHW' in the incoming/amiga directory on abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov is not usable. The file decompresses fine with LhWarp 1.40, but the files on the resulting disk do not work. Specifically, the file Med2.10 will not run. Also, the person who created the file left some of the directories off of the disk, and to top it off the disk contains a custom bootblock--a so-called virus killer. So, DO NOT download this file! I wish someone would re-upload a lharc'd file containing the complete MED 2.10 distribution. If this complete distribution is available at another site, someone tell me (us). If the above corrupt file can be removed by the maintainers of the site, I'd recommend it be done. | Baird McIntosh | c503719@umcvmb.missouri.edu <-or-> c503719@umcvmb.bitnet | | COOL DRIVING TECHNIQUE #23: Drive without brake lights. | | (Light deactivation method is unimportant; just try to appear oblivious.) |

I will post a GOOD LHArc'd one soon... It wasn't my fault though. LHWarp 1.40 DOES NOT work right with Tracksalve 1.31... That is VERY stupid of the LHWARP people. LHWARP 1.40 is the ONLY program I have found that doesn't work right with Tracksalve. Will post in a few days to the New Xanth... Sorry!

I picked up "incoming/amiga/MED210.LHW" and "incoming/amiga/MED210.EXE" and used "amiga/archivers/lhwarp-1.31.zoo" to reconstruct the disk. I think there was some error message, which explained why "incoming/amiga/MED210.EXE" was there. Med2.10 from there seams to work fine. Of course, I didn't boot off of the disk, I just ran with AmigaDOS 1.3 that came on the A3000 HD. > So, DO NOT download this file! Just get both "incoming/amiga/MED210.LHW" and "incoming/amiga/MED210.EXE": Sun 25-Aug-90 09:26:06 66072 incoming/amiga/MED210.EXE Mon 19-Aug-90 19:46:45 500048 incoming/amiga/MED210.LHW BTW, result from lharc: 473587 Oct 31 11:13 MED210.lzh. I haven't tried BITFTP to upload this. Is it possible? Alexander Elkins (aoe@hpfiaoe.HP.COM)

Is it possible? I sent this repackaged version to Tad Guy. Thanks to Tad's efforts this is now available from abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov as /amiga/sounds/tools/med-2.10.lzh. The archive was created using lharc-1.21 on my Amiga 3000. Lharc appeared in comp.binaries.amiga as util/lharc-1.21/part01 and util/lharc-1.21/part02.
