I have added a second internal floppy to my A2000, and I would like to
have the new one be df0: and the old be df1: (it is acting up, so I
want it only on rare occasions).
Either drive works fine as df0:. (I am using the new one as df1: now,
so the system works fine with two floppys - after putting a jumper on
the motherboard.) I need to know the jumper settings to make the original
drive work as df1:.
The drive is a Matsushita, JU-253 -02T is the part number, I think
(there are lots of numbers). Looking from the back, there are 10
pins in the jumper area, 4 are currently jumpered and it works as df0:
when plugged into the end connector on the drive cable. It looks
like:
. . . . . < these are pins
l l < these represent the current location of
l l the jumpers.
. . . . . < bottom row of pins
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to set the jumpers to
make it function as df1:
My drive cable has the twist in it to distinguish df0: and df1:, at least
that is what I think it is for. df0: is always at the end.
