Ok, I went ahead and put a patched version of MED 2.13 on everyone's favorite ftp site as: abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov:incoming/amiga/med213patched.lzh The lharced file contains an icon I made for MED, the patched and not compressed version of MED 2.13, and a readme file which is also available as: abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov:incoming/amiga/med213patched.README I used the program 'PatchS!' by Ben Fuller to patch the MED executable so it will now (hopefully) run under 2.0. I don't have 2.0, so I can't test it. However, it runs ok on my 2000 with 1.3. 'PatchS!' was written by Ben Fuller (of Project D fame) and allows you to patch programs that use ciaa.resource so that they run under 2.0. Originally, he wrote it to patch Sonix, and it worked. He also got Roger Rabbit (the game) to work under 2.0 as well as the program 'Play' by Mark Riley (author of Sonix). The patching procedure turned up 10 references to ciaa or ciaa register addresses. Perhaps now MED will work with 2.0; anyone care to try it out? If you do try it, I'd appreciate your feedback. NOTE: please hold all mail replies until the evening of Thursday 11/22/90 (Thanksgiving night) to ensure that the mail is still in my virtual reader come Sunday when I return to school.
