Can *anybody* spare some time to answer a few(!) questions on DBW_Render (if you want to see me beg, then fine ... I`m on my knees ). 1) I heard from various sources that DBW_Render is now a fully commercial product, instead of just shareware. Is this true ? If it is, is the PD version still being supported by DBW. Bearing in mind where I`m posting from, does anybody know what DBW is asking for by way of contributions to get the latest PD version. 2) Using DBW_render with a 68020 and 68881. Has anybody been able to recompile DBW_render to take advantage of the extra maths co-pro ?? If so, what sort of speed-ups did you get ? I`m thinking about using DBW_Render with the A5000 board ... anything I should know before trying ? 3) Does anybody know any sources for DBW_render input files ? 4) Finally, a question for readers in the UK. Has anybody found a PD company that can supply a complete version of DBW_Render (source and all) *without* any disk errors. I`ve ordered the FAUG 42 disk from three separate sources and each disk has had an error across the hit.c file in the ray_source directory. I`ve tried pointing this out to the companies concerned but their responses have led me to believe that all UK PD suppliers are run by Howard the Duck (" No, No there is no error, the file is supposed to end halfway through the header ..."). Thanks to anybody who takes the time to even consider answering any of the above questions. If you do send an answer then heck, you can marry my sister if you like ... Thanks in advance, John. PS email, mail, carrier pigeon, notes-in-bottles are all acceptable, but don`t post back to the net ... it`s busy enough as it is.
