Hopefully, planning for a 1991 contest will start by the time BADGE resumes
its meetings next January and, as before, adequate "net" postings and
magazine insertions will provide all the details.

In talking with CBM about next years BADGE contest, it turns out that
they'd rather see tools of various kinds developed instead of yet more
demos (though the demos are fun).

However, my call for help in getting this off the ground at the last
BADGE meeting got zero replies. In fact, I've been getting little or
no support in running BADGE - ideas for topics (thanx to the 3 people
who've made suggestions); offers to speak; etc.

Things have gotten so bad that the last talk was something that
wouldn't have been out of place at FAUG (not to say bad things about
FAUG, but BADGE is supposed to have a different target). In fact, to
try and get things back on track, I'm probably going to give the next
talk myself (on designing a Rexx interface).

This isn't how I think the world should be. I'd _love_ to have a long
series of talks on things of interest to developers. But I can't seem
to find people who are willing to discuss such. You want to give that
kind of a talk - (examples: Amiga hardware; debugging technics;
graphics technics; sound technics; using the 2.0 libraries; etc) -
drop me a line. I don't really care what your qualifications are, so
long as you're motivated.
