I've got the opportunity to pick up a used XT bridgeboard from a friend who never uses his. My problem is that I've got a 3000, so I can't use the 5.25" floppy drive that came with it. The BBoard is plugged in right now but not doing anything. Anybody know how I might go about getting it running? I've heard of something called Bridge Drive Commander which lets you use Amiga drives as PC drives. Could I use this to set up df0: as drive A:? (Without interfering with its function as df0:, that is.) One thought I've had is that, once I get the 5.25" copy of DOS moved to 3.5 so I can read it in with CrossDOS, format my 1.3 partition as a DOS one, and boot the bridgeboard from there, keeping everything else on floppies till I get a bigger hard drive. Also, if I get an external PC floppy, would there be any way to make it drive A:, or at least drive B: without an A:? Any advice would be appreciated. One more thing... my friend still has the 5.25" drive in his 2000. How can it be connected to run as an Amiga drive? I couldn't spot any place to connect it (unless there's something under the power supply & drive assembly). He's got 2 3.5's, so both of those connectors were in use. Is it just a matter of getting a floppy cable with 3 connectors instead of just 2? Thanks. -- Gibberish Amiga 3000 owner/fanatic.c is spoken Contact don@brahms.udel.edu for more information. here.
