[comp.sys.amiga] Disney's "The Animation Studio"; details needed ...

culhane@vis.toronto.edu (Sean Culhane) (11/26/90)

In an earlier posting, I asked for info on running DPaint III on by
younger brother's minimal system (Amiga 1000, 512K, *one* disk drive,
composite monitor).

The bad news is that I've been told DPaint III requires 1 meg. sigh.

In the search for an alternative, I see in the Dec. issue of AmigaWorld
(p.63) a full page ad for Disney's "The Animation Studio". It sounds great,
and in the lower right corner, it says "512K required. 1 meg recommended".
Can somebody please tell me what functionality will be missing with ony
512K?? (being VERY slow, or requiring *many* disk swaps is *NOT* a big
factor, since my 10 year old brother doesn't seem to mind these things ...
probably because he doesn't know any differently :-) What I am wondering
about is the size of individual pictures or animations possible, or the
ability to run any of the animations on the disks that are included
(the "Studio Disk", the "Morgue Disk", and the "Demo Disk").

Maybe Leo Schwab can comment, too?? (it says "Written by Leo Schwab" right
on the ad! I would buy it on this fact alone! (if it were for my 2000HD with
tonnes of RAM, that is.)

Thanks again for any and all information!

sean.
