Purpose: The "review column" of the Amiga computer newsgroups.
Readers' reviews of hardware and software for the
Commodore Amiga family of computers, along with
summarized rebuttals.
General comments:
This is the group to check for orderly, organized discriptions and
opinions of Amiga hardware and software packages, be they public domain,
shareware, commercial, or what have you.
All postings will be archived at (site to be named), in a suitable
format.
The traffic will vary depending on the rate of submissions, but the
moderator will insure that all postings are clear and readable.
Conventions for ratings, and conventions for the Subject:, Keywords:,
and Summary: lines will be enforced in order to make information easy to
locate and digest.
This is not a forum for advertising, commercial or not, nor is it a
UseNet echo for magazine columns. Review submissions should be original
works by actual users of the subject program. Quick looks or "At a
Glance" reviews will be rejected. Please get to know the program
throughly before writing a review and confirm that the information you
include is accurate. And please, oh please, don't review a program you
or your company wrote.
No discussion of reviews is permitted in this group, though more than
one person may review the same product. Please respect the Followups-To:
line, which will be set as appropriate by the moderator. Short
rebuttals, corrections, and additions, and reports of major bugs will be
accepted at a seperate submissions address, and a summary will be
posted. However, this group is not intended to be a dump for bug
reports. Workarounds, etc. should be posted to the appropriate
discussion group.
Rejected review postings will be returned with a short explanation of
the problems and suggestions for their correction.
