I've been playing with the Synthia 2 demo off and on since early this past summer when it was uploaded to the ORIGINAL xanth.cs.odu.edu ftp-site. Now it is located on abcfd20.larc.nasa.gov. Anywho, I may want to order this program as a holiday gift, so I'd like any opinions/comments you who have used/own the final product would like to offer. Please note that I am refering to the Amiga-sound version of Synthia 2, NOT Synthia Professional. If you respond, try to address the following points while adding your own insights: 1. The demo I have takes a while when you 'MAKE' a sound. Is this a function of running the program on a stock (read 'slow') Amiga or is the release version of the program faster? I suspect the former, but still hope desperately for the latter. :-) 2. Documentation: what's it like? Specifically, do they give plenty of info on what can/can't be synthesized with the various methods the program offers? Is there sufficient information on how each method works and are all of the various effects documented? 3. Does anything that is supposed to work, not work? 4. Your opinions, please. Email is o.k., posts are o.k.; this is probably of general interest--do what you have to do. :-) | Baird McIntosh | c503719@umcvmb.missouri.edu <-or-> c503719@umcvmb.bitnet | | COOL DRIVING TECHNIQUE #11: No turn signals!
