How is the quality of the AMAX printouts, is it similar to the real macintosh?

In the case of having a HP deskjet , is the quality similar to the deskwriter??

In the case of non bitmap draws, like the ones made with mac draw or canvas, 
the print out have the correct resolution and smoothing printed in HP-DJ than 
printed in the HP DW with a real mac...???
