Need some help on a possible memory board upgrade for am Amiga 1000. This is for a Christmas gift so I need to know pretty soon to allow ordering/shipping time. Spirit Technology is advertising their IN1000 memory board populated with 1.5MB of ram for $231.00 That seems to be a pretty good price for the board and ram. My primary question is reliability of the board. Does anyone who has one or knows of one being used please let me know your experience. The person this is for is not very tolerant of flaky products or operations, so the board needs to be fairly solid. Since he has no hard drive I am sure part of its function will be for RamDisk. Are there any products or categories of products the board does not behave well with. If you have seen a better price than this please let me know that too.
