In-Reply-To: message from bjames@lehi3b15.csee.Lehigh.EDU Hi, We have a video professional at the Education Tech. Dept here at Lehigh who is interested in doing the following: Get a Amiga 2500 with the 286/386(on avail.) bridgeboard and the Mac II+ card. He wants the output of each emulator on separate monitors ie: Mac on one, Amiga on one and a pc screen on one! Here's the deal: 1) Is the above possible? Could you just add a vga card on the IBM side and get the IBM display on a VGA monitor? How about the MAC side? DOes the MAC II+ multitask yet? Does it run MAC II software? Can you use Amiga drives for Mac disks? How about adding MAC cards? 2) The reason he's doing this is because, in his words, "of the awesome MAC and PC video software (scripting, logging, boring-behind-the-scenes stuff) that is available and used in the movie industry! The guy is really hooked on the Amiga but needs certain software on the other machines. 3) He's also thinking of mounting the Amiga in a rack system (no with only one monitor!). Is this reasonable. Does anybody make special cases, cabling system etc... to help him do this? And finally, seeing the awesome support provided by the NEW CBM, can he directly contact somebody who can set him up? A name and phone number or/and address will help greatly. Also anybody out there in the great waste...ahem...netlands who has any suggestions, comments, hints, or just wanna say hi reply to bjames@lehi3b15.csee.lehigh.edu He doesn't have an e-mail address! Oh this guy has met people like Tom Cruise, Sean Penn and some other biggies....and recently was doing some scripting for Disney. Just some info. He is definitely convinced of the POWER, he just needs a little help getting it all setup right :-) It is posible to run the IBM side on a seperate monitor with a video card at the same time the Amiga screen runs on the Amiga monitor, but as far as the Mac side you have problems. If AMAX II+ is like AMAX I or AMAX II (don't get me wrong, they are fantastic packages) but they take over the machine, this Amiga and IBM can run at the same time, but AMAX won't multitask. Also remember that AMAX (I and II) only display B&W. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ProLine: danb20@pro-graphics *************************** UUCP: ...crash!pro-graphics!danb20 * Dan Bachmann * ARPA/DDN: pro-graphics!danb20@nosc.mil * Raritan Valley College * Internet: danb20@pro-graphics.cts.com *************************** P-Link: DanB20 <-- I only read PLink once a mo. use Internet U.S.Mail: 509 StonyBrook Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807
