[comp.sys.amiga] Joysticks and stuff.

I just wanted to say that as far as joystick reliability is concerned I've
had an old Atari joystick for almost 10 years now and the poor thing is
still holding just fine. I remember using it on my VIC-20 back in '82 to
play PacMan and last night I played ThePlague on it. Is this nostalgia?
I don't know why nobody has mentioned about these old joysticks that came out
for the Atari 2600 eons ago. Maybe they're not responsive (I took the rubber
padding off the stick long ago and it was better this way), I dunno.
Also, not related with joysticks, I wanted to know if there was a way to hook
up an internal drive for the 2000 to the 500. The pin connectors on the back
look too funky.

I agree. I've got one Atari joystick floating around from my
original Atari VCS (which I still have as well.) This joystick
outperforms all others I've tried, including the Wico I had
back in the early 80's on my Atari 800 (which I still have too!:)
