[comp.sys.amiga] A-MaxII Shopping list 12/3/90

andrewsr@romulus.rutgers.edu (Rich Andrews) (12/04/90)

Greetings A-MaxII owners!

I have drummed together a list of Macintosh software tested on
A-MaxII. (I have appended it below).

When the comp.sys.amiga.* split happens (thanks for working at this
for us Kent and for everyone else--VOTE! See news.announce.newgroups
for the voting ballot), I am willing to maintain a most frequently
asked question list for A-MaxII users. (Sound like a good idea?)

Thanks to all of you who posted about bypassing the pram. I now am
using the inits mouse-scaling (Pointer), pram-set (sound),
named-folder and a few others. (I have ftp'd all my stuff from
sumex.stanford.edu, which houses a great number of mac software in
their info-mac archives).

Please send me results of your testing. Thanks and happy shopping!
-Rich

following is my most current A_MaxII software testing:
-----cut here-----
This is a list of Macintosh software that has been tested under
A-MaxII. I think that this would be of great interest to A-MaxII
owners. (Imagine spending big bucks on a Macintosh program only to
find that it does not work on A-MaxII).

Last revision: 12/3/90 R. Andrews

(These software packages were tested at my school which has both
Amigas and Macintoshes. The two amigas tried were the 2000 and the
1000. (Although I will try to label the programs that need more than
the 512K on the 1000, please don't count on it!). If you are
considering buying a package and you only have 512K (and you see the
package on this list, please EMail me and I will give it another run
on the 1000.

Also note that I did not have an A-MaxII partitioned drive to test
software on. As such, I could not test programs such as PageMaker.

Any entries that have a * next to them were not tested by me and I
cannot vouch for their accuracy.
