[comp.sys.amiga] Animation Software

jal@pandora.cs.wayne.edu (Jason Leigh) (12/04/90)

Ok people, I need some really good advice on this so listen up:

The system I am running is: A2000 with 5Megs on a GVP A3001
(68030-68882) with 2 floppies and a Hardrive with removable 40 meg
platters. I expect to be receiving the Video Toaster and a graphics
tablet today.

I need to do lots of animation that involves cartoon-like characters
that are for the most part geometric shapes with arms and legs. I
need to know if there is any software available for doing interpolation
(like key frame animation) so that I don't have to manipulate each arm
and leg manually per frame. Or if there is some software that will at
least make this manual task tolerable (I am very good at drawing but I
would prefer not to have to animate each cel manually if it can be
avoided.)

In addition I am looking also for a good "authoring system" to glue
animation frames together into smooth animation pieces. Something like
dilbm & pilbm except a lot more intuitive and interactive.

Oh yes I would prefer HAM animation if possible.

Thanx in advance.
