I must correct myself. It seems that the A3000UX motherboard is designed to take advantage of the 68040, too. I didn't say it wasn't but I did doubt it, thanks for giving me the information. 2nd thing: A few people haven't believed that the NeXTStation is faster than SparcStation 1+. Well, there is a benchmark that suggests it is (in comp.sys.next). I have heard this from other sources, too. I could post this simple benchmark here, if I can manage to do so (I wouldn't like to type it all new). But take my word for it, the NeXTStation probably is faster for most operations. (Why is this hard to believe, anyway?) I think a 68040 Amiga would be about as fast - though not necessarily faster, as many of you seem to thing. The 68030 A3000UX seems to be all right. I just get much more bang for the buck on the NeXTStation. The advantages of A3000UX are color and better expandability. But the NeXTstations advantages weigh more for me (speed, DSP, NeXTStep, good mono display, etc.) Jouni
