[comp.sys.amiga] Dnet & 8 bits

faheyr@silver.ucs.indiana.edu (Bob Fahey <NECR0SIS>) (12/07/90)

Are there any Dnetter's out there? Maybe you could answer a quick question:

I finally broke down and had to try out Dnet. Very impressive, but a bit slow.
Now, I can only get it to work @ 7bits for some reason.

The remote node is my Unix (ultrix 3.1) account at school... Everything seems
to work fine @ 7bits, but seems to barf (core-dump sometimes) @ 8bit.
Heres how i have been calling it:
run dnet -Z0 -8
and on the unix side:
dnet

I understand that to get it to go @ 8bit, you type:
run dnet -Z0 -m0 -8
and on unix:
dnet -m0

But it just doesnt work right. any ideas?
