[comp.sys.amiga] MRCNext Fish Archives

Has anyone else had problems downloading some of the latest fish disks
>from our favorite fish archive? I downloaded 2 files today and both
give me -file is not executable- errors after unzooing. One of the
file was MadBlanker.zoo. Yes, I used BINARY and everything seemed to
go okay. They unzoo'd fine and file lengths matched those in the read
me file, etc. Could someone in the know please take a look at that
file and let me know if I am doing something wrong. Perhaps ZOO doesn't
work right on the A3000? I used it straight and from within SID with the
same results and I downloaded it twice also.
Cheers, Dave

Oh how I long for the godd old days when Leo Schwab was posting nifty
little screen hacks instead of the Amiga vs Next or Anything That Comes Along!

Please ignore my last post about problems with fish disks on MRCNext, I
found out MadBlanker doesn't work with WB 2.0 and the protection bits
were really causing the problem. It works fine with WB1.3 with the E
bit set right. Sigh..........

PS. Anyone venture a guess as to why this nifty screen blanker won't
work with 2.0? I assume there are some direct hardware writes or
something. I sure wish 2.0 would be finalized and released. Maybe, then
some of these programs could get fixed. This blanker looks real nice in
that there is a small window floating around the screen showing the
screen underneath, pretty neat!
