I am no guru but I would like to bring dynamic graphics applications in statistics to a large classroom. Our hardware running X11: Vaxstation 2000, Sparcstation-1, DECStation 3100. We would prefer to display from the Vaxstation. The displays are preferably real time, but it would be acceptable simply to send the images to tape for later showing from a VCR. According to people here, it can't be done from the megapixel displays on the workstations. The graphics images have to be sent to a PC, whence VGA signals are sent to a Sharp QA75 dataviewer. Or, it can be done if I spend $20000 on an A/V compressor, which is out of the question. I am told that Amiga equipment may be relevant to my problem as it is running X11 and is primed for multimedia applications. Anyone with relevant experience or information, please contact vjcarey@sphunix.sph.jhu.edu or vjcarey@JHUHYG.bitnet Many thanks.
