I'm not the guy whom you asked, but I'll tell you: IMMORTAL is a terrific game if you like arcade adventures; that's exactly what it is. It's quite well done, and looks VERY nice. If you don't like to accurately position your guy before you cast a fireball, forget it. HOWEVER: It is one of those British programs that (a) takes FOREVER to load, (b) it apparently doesn't like you to put the data disk in df1:, (c) although it uses an apparent custom DOS, see (a). WHY can't more games that are NDOS load in seconds like the late great CARRIER COMMAND? The graphics and sound on IMMORTAL are very well done, and the 3/4 view is well-done also. The game just isn't my cuppa tea--I am fortunate enough to shop at a computer store in which games are DEMOed first! --rw fhwri@conncoll.bitnet

The Immortal is a USA game btw. Designed by Will Harvey, the gaming pioneer who did Marble Madness/Zany Golf/Music Construction Set/etc. .

I just bought The Immortal three days ago and I'm already stuck! At the end of level two, there are three circles with an inscribed triangle in each. Every space outlined on those circles has a little hole. I (the character, rather) have three jewels and I must place each in the correct hole in the correct sequence. The only clue I have is from the dying Gresh the Wise who said "...right, left, center of..." and proceeded to die. Here's what the circles look like /\ /\ /\ o /o \o o/o \o o/o \o /____\ /____\ /____\ o o o The o's are where the holes for the jewels are. If you know the sequence, please post or send e-mail. I've tried just about every possible logical permutation and I'm ready to wrangle those disks apart. Help!
