To take up even less bandwidth to set things straight. I wrote this news reader/poster for my Amiga, see. The program keeps track of groups read, etc. I only changed *one* line of code one night, and during the same "test" session, posted a 4sale article. My news poster sent a copy of the article to the list of groups read, rather than the group selected. (I get a sub menu of my list of usual groups to post to) It was a matter of file descriptor #4, not #5, ya know... I promise to test "off net" next time, thanks for you patience, those of you who know that you make mistakes too, and actually someone did give a hint at what had happened in their reply, and thats how I found it. And to those of you who flamed me without even knowing me , I say the following: #1: I do have a clue to whats going on #2: I do have a life #3: I apoligize to strangers when I know I have caused grief. #4: I may not know where Mudd college is, but I have a real job. #5: And to that guy in New York - I don't think that the object you mentioned would fit there. Thanks again. 8-) -- Todd B.
