I would greatly appreciate any advise, direction or otherwise condolences on the following: System: Amiga2000, 20Meg HD, Running Workbemch 1.2 (yes! still 1.2!) Had validation errors, ran DiskDoctor V1.2 and found 15 or so "Hard Errors" on tracks upwards of 86 (thank god it wasn't tracks 0-10!) And now, upon booting up, I get a 20meg:NDOS icon on the Workbench screen. Attempts to "cd" and "dir" in shell give requester: "Please insert volume dh0:". Evidently, the system doesn't recognize its own harddrive (treated as a non-DOS "disk"!). Question: Is there any tool than can be used to recover the HD!? (there are a year's worth of daily logs on this HD!). Have been told by others that "QuarterBack Toolbox" is what I need. Has anyone had similar problem or has used this utility? Please post/email responses and suggestions.
