[comp.sys.amiga] A2090 Compatibility with IBM drives

jeremym@brahms.udel.edu (Jeremy A Moskowitz) (12/18/90)

Ok...2090 owners...
I know it doesn't autoboot, and I know it's pretty crappy...
but, does it work with both st506, rll and mfm drives?

I wouldn't know the difference between these three drives if you showed me
..gut...I know someone out there knows what a 2090 drive-controller
*IS* compatable with. Lemme know will ya - before I buy it
to expand my HD base. I already own a TC 2000 with 40 megger quantum...

I want to get a 2090 and st506 (or mfm or rll drives) tro expandamundo...
 lemme know.

I have both a trumpcard and 2090A. The 2090 or 2090a will support
two (maximum) St-506 drives with MFM encoding. It also
has a 25 pin Macintosh plus compatible scsi connector. I'm
assuming your TC2000 is trumpcard ? When I called their tech
support, they said several people had a 2090 for st-506 and a TC
for scsi.
