I've been having problems running Word under A-Max II. Problem #1: I sometimes crash A-Max when I use the cursor keys to move the cursor. I sometimes get a Mac system bomb, ID 2 or 3 and sometimes the screen just goes to confetti. Problem #2: Sometimes when saving a file to either floppy or HD I get a Mac alert saying "Unrecoverable disk error of file 'filename'". I am usually able to cancel this alert and then sucessfully save the file to the same place it just failed. Sometimes, however, I get a Mac system crash. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem or if it has something to do with my set-up. I am running A-MaxII on an A2000 with 1 meg chip & 2 megs fast RAM, an external Cutting Edge Mac floppy, a Supra Wordsync controller driving a Seagate 60meg HD with 2 Amiga and 1 Mac partition, and an A2320 display enhancer. The write problem predates the Mac HD partition so is probably not related to the driver. Thanks. -- geoff

What versions of Word, System and Finder are you using? Are these write errors occurring on floppies as well? Have you run Disinfectant to see if you have any viruses? (grin) What INIT's or CDEV's are you running? Are you using Multifinder? -- Kevin Mack - via FidoNet node 1:140/22 UUCP: ...!herald!weyr!70!Kevin.Mack Domain: Kevin.Mack@f70.n140.z1.FIDONET.ORG Standard Disclaimers Apply...
