Hello,
After pricing of hard drives and such, I have decided to check out the
Syquest removeable drives. The problems is that I have a 3000 and am not
too sure if it will work properly with the 3000's SCSI. Yes, I do know it will
have to be external, but I am willing to go that way to get removeable.
Is there anyone who has successfully hooked a Syquest drive to a 3000's
SCSI port (external or internal). Did it work properly? Where did you get
it? How much was it? Thanks in advance for any help...

I have a SyQuest on my A3000... and it seems to be working just fine (although I had a little trouble with my first drive and had to have it replaced...). The only tricky thing was the SCSI termination.... Anas I remember, I had to remove termination from the A3000 motherboard fort to work properly.... leaving the internal HD and the SyQuest terminated The other tricky thing was the power and SCSI cables... I decided to use the internal 50 pin connector for the SCSI cable and routing it and the power cable was a bit tricky... But it does work fine. Good luck. -MP-
